Biografía

Rafa Rodríguez, nacido en Barquisimeto, Venezuela, creció en una familia unida y musical, y desarrolló su amor por el canto desde joven. Estudió ingeniería electrónica en la Universidad Yacambú, pero su pasión por la música lo llevó a unirse a la Compañía de Ópera del Conservatorio de Música Vicente Emilio Sojo.

Ha participado en diversos festivales y conciertos en México y otros países, recibiendo reconocimientos por su talento en los que destacan:

• En el año 2007, fue invitado a Guadalajara, México, donde el Mariachi Show 2000 de Venezuela obtuvo reconocimiento como mejor Mariachi Foráneo entregado por el Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan en el Festival de Mariachis y Charrerías.
• En el 2010 se hizo con la presea Antonio Valdez Herrera en el Festival Internacional del Mariachi por el Bicentenario de Mexico ante 18 países en la ciudad de Mexicali, Baja California, México.
• En el 2012 se hizo con la presea Ramon Inclán en el Festival Internacional de la canción latina en México.
• En el 2015, invitado especial al 7mo Festival Internacional del Bolero en Panamá, entre otros festivales.

Rafa Rodríguez Ha formado parte de varios mariachis  de su ciudad natal y se ha destacado como intérprete de música azteca.

Ha realizado giras en México, Panamá, Estados Unidos y España. Actualmente se encuentra en Tenerife, España, promoviendo su nuevo espectáculo “The Crooner”, donde interpreta canciones de grandes crooners de la historia tales como, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Nino Bravo, José José, Raphael, Camilo Sesto, entre otros.

Cabe destacar que acaba de culminar una serie de 9 videoclips que se desprenden de su última e innovadora producción discográfica, donde muestra los maravillosos paisajes de lo que el denomina “El paraíso terrenal – Tenerife”, tan sencillo como canciones de la época de oro en inglés llevadas al género ranchero.

Para el 2024 viene su nuevo proyecto musical, un viaje emocional a la época de oro de los grandes intérpretes de España y México.

Imagina un concierto único donde revivirá los boleros, baladas/pop y las rancheras más emblemáticas, pero con un toque moderno y fresco, acompañado por una talentosa banda de 10 músicos en el escenario donde pretende crear un ambiente mágico lleno de emociones, alegría y nostalgia.

Su promesa es entregarse por completo en cada actuación, tocando el alma y los corazones de su audiencia con su voz potente y versátil que es parte de lo que le hace diferenciarle de los demás.

Recordar la pasión con la que vive e interpreta cada canción, la magia que se crea en el escenario y la versatilidad que ofrece es parte de lo que promete a cada una de las personas que asistirán a dichos conciertos.

Además de su carrera musical, Rafa participa en obras sociales y actos benéficos, apoyando a personas necesitadas a través de presentaciones y conciertos. Considera que es un compromiso continuar con estas acciones solidarias en el futuro.

Biography

Rafa Rodríguez, born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, grew up in a close-knit and musical family, and developed his love for singing from a young age. He studied electronic engineering at the Yacambú University, but his passion for music led him to join the Opera Company of the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory of Music.

He has participated in various festivals and concerts in Mexico and other countries, receiving recognition for his talent in which stand out:

• In 2007, he was invited to Guadalajara, Mexico, where the Mariachi Show 2000 of Venezuela obtained recognition as the best Foreign Mariachi presented by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan at the Mariachis and Charrerías Festival.
• In 2010, Antonio Valdez Herrera won the award at the International Mariachi Festival for the Bicentennial of Mexico before 18 countries in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.
• In 2012, he won the Ramon Inclán prize at the International Latin Song Festival in Mexico.
• In 2015, special guest at the 7th International Bolero Festival in Panama, among other festivals.

Rafa Rodríguez has been part of several mariachis in his hometown and has stood out as a performer of Aztec music. He has toured in Mexico, Panama, the United States and Spain. He is currently in Tenerife, Spain, promoting his new show “The Crooner”, where he performs songs by great crooners in history such as Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Nino Bravo, José José, Raphael, Camilo Sesto, among others.

It is worth noting that he has just completed a series of 9 video clips that emerge from his latest and innovative album production, where he shows the wonderful landscapes of what he calls “The Earthly Paradise – Tenerife”, as simple as songs from the golden age in English brought to the ranchero genre.

For 2024 comes his new musical project, an emotional journey to the golden age of the great performers of Spain and Mexico. Imagine a unique concert where you will revive the most emblematic boleros, ballads/pop and rancheras, but with a modern and fresh touch, accompanied by a talented band of 10 musicians on stage where they aim to create a magical atmosphere full of emotions, joy and nostalgia .

His promise is to give himself completely in each performance, touching the souls and hearts of his audience with his powerful and versatile voice, which is part of what makes him stand out from others. Remembering the passion with which he lives and performs each song, the magic that is created on stage and the versatility that he offers is part of what he promises to each of the people who will attend these concerts.

In addition to his musical career, Rafa participates in social works and charity events, supporting people in need through presentations and concerts. Consider that it is a commitment to continue with these solidarity actions in the future.
